Halloween Hooplah

Though we did head out to a few houses for treats, we went to the "Celebration of Life" at the Christian Fellowship Centre for some games, candy, singing, candy, prayers, candy, dancing, candy, and did I say candy?

Blustery Birthday

Brendan & Jordan's Birthday Bash

Vacationing Visitors

We were blessed with friends visiting this summer!

Sarah flew in from Boston and Wendy was on furlough from Senegal. They met up at the Vancouver airport and took the ferry over for a great visit.

Wade & Erica, Cody and Maya came from California for a few days - we had a great time!

Orcas - Oh Boy!

We just returned from the "Norman Reunion"
on Orcas Island in the San Juan's (south of
Vancouver Island). The weather was great
and we enjoyed time with Amy's grandma,
parents, and siblings. Here are some pictures:

The family on Mt. Constitution - San Juan Is.

Allison, Ryan, and Brendan "doing s'mores".

The three ready to climb the tower at Mt. C.

They made it to the top! Well done, kiddos!

Playing in Cascade Lake was a highlight.

Succumbing

So I am finally succumbing to the world of blogging. First a friend from Denver, then my brother, then one of my students - I got the message, make a blog. Perhaps this will be my attempt to keep current pictures of my family on the web - or this will be one of those spots where what I write today will be antiquated and someone will say, "Hey look, a relic of a blog from 2006 - that was ages ago!" We'll see. Feel free to comment, compliment, or critique...I can handle it.
