Memories with the Meyer side of the family…

27dec 009

First of all, don’t entrust smelly markers to certain individuals.

All are expected to participate in games – including pregnant individuals and expert actors (death throws, very impressive, Mark)

31dec 003

Nothing like a little Sjuelbak throughout the evening festivities.

31dec 004

The “Name Game” was also done at both Christmas Day and New Year’s Day festivities. I am still laughing (for some reason) at someone writing down “Tante Truus”.

More Christmas Memories!

27dec 001

Our Christmas photo cards that were received – fun to see our friends and family from all over!

27dec 023

27dec 022The kids were quite ready to open presents – this was as close as we got to a yearly Christmas pic of the kids.

Tried to capture their “first response” to gifts – a few happy faces.

Christmas Memories

Well, this is my first experience using Live Writer as suggested by a fellow blogger – we’ll see how this post looks!

bowling 002

We went bowling and it has been a while since many of us played 5-pin…but the boys were ready!

bowling 014

The clan was ready to play – teams were made…

bowling 017

Some great tunes were played – “Walk like an Egyptian” for instance…

bowling 033

Brendan was scorin’ big in the second game – Mom bowled too…

bowling 036

See? Looks like Amy has a bowling ball down the lane and up front.

bowling 026

It may seem that Ryan is keeping score – but who needs to? We all had fun and that’s what counts, eh?

December Recitals

This was the month of recitals - all happening within a week of eachother!
Allison played the flute at Grace Baptist...
Kaleigh performed a ballet piece for Gift of Dance...
Brendan played at the Piano recital held at Meadow Green...
Ryan also played (and the girls too)...they did great!
Amy covered her baby-bump...perhaps we'll need to find another photo.

December Highlights

Just a few highlights up to Christmas - so many pictures...
The Parade in Lynden has many lights. Gotta love the Santa cows!
Ryan & I had the opportunity to get up close with the Grey Cup - B.C. Lions claimed it for 2011!
Brendan got a little "baby time" in prep for our upcoming baby...
Allison also got a little extra prep in the feeding department...
So glad that our friends moved closer to us - had a great dinner together - 13 in all!
